Vertical extension of a family residence
Villa Verde is a vertical extension of an existing family residence, built above the original villa and opened toward the surrounding landscape. Rather than an addition set apart from what was there, the project reads as a new layer of the house, adding a full floor, an attic level, generous terraces, and a rooftop observation room with 360-degree views.
The main floor is organized around the TV unit, which does more than furnish a wall: it defines the entrance, sets the limits of the formal living room, separates living areas from bedrooms, and shields the staircase connecting the lower rooms to the master bedroom and family area above.
Green runs through the project as its defining material identity, appearing in marble, furniture, planting, textiles, and detail, balanced against wood, soft beige tones, natural light, and curved forms.
The result is a calm, generous home built above an existing one, open to the landscape, but private, warm, and grounded.
